Joseph Roth and Barbe Koerig Marriage 1854

27 Mar 1854, Illzach: Marriage of Joseph Roth, day laborer age 29, born at La Croix aux Mines, Vosges, 26 January 1826, resident at Burtzwiller, son of Joseph Roth, stateless, age 69, resident at Plainfaing, Vosges, present and consenting, and the late Barbe Schlatter, who died at Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines age 37 on 12 May 1832, and Barbe Koerig, age 33, residing and born at Pfastatt, Haut-Rhin, 23 October 1821, daughter of the late Jacques Koerig, day laborer when living, who died in the same town at age 63 1 September 1851, and the late Elizabeth Zimmerman, when living his wife, who died in Pfastatt age 51 on 14 February 1848. Witnesses: Andre Roth, age 54, uncle of the groom, Chretian Koerig, brother of the bride, and Chretien Tschantz, cousin of the bride.
