12 January 1819, Bollwiller: Marriage of Jacques (Jacob) Roth, farmer born at Hirsingen, district of Altkirch, 29 Vendemaire year 3 of the Republic (20 October 1794), living in the Sainte George area of Eguisheim, district of Colmar, son of Jacob Roth, farmer, and Anne Liechty, Anabaptists living at Sainte George, both present and consenting, and Elisabethe Tschantz, age 27 years eight months, living in Bollwiller, born 9 Floreal year 9 (29 April 1801), daughter of Benois Tschantz and Elisabethe Zimmerman, Anabaptist farmers of this town. Witnesses: Jean Liechty, age 25, maternal uncle of the groom, Chretien Tschantz, 26, and Benois Tschantz the younger, 23, both brothers of the bride, and Jean Zimmerman, age 22, maternal uncle of the bride.
