  [S149] Descendants of Jacob Hochstetler, the immigrant of 1736. John Hochstetler2, 1, Elklick, Pa., at death, according to tradition, was about three years of age when he came to this country with his father. His will was dated Mar. 15, 1805, and was registered Apr. 15, 1805. He moved from Berks to Somerset Co. about Dec., 1784. He m. (1) Catherine Hertzler, who. d. after 1797, the dau. of Jacob Hertzler. Amish church, and there is some reason for believing he was a minister in that church.
