Notes |
- Robert and Sarah traveled from Maine to Alliance, Ohio, in a covered wagon. After living there a short time, they traveled West again expecting to move on into Chicago. When they reached Stony Point--7 miles ne of Etna Green, Sarah became seriously ill with Typhoid Fever and passed away. Her nephew also sickened and died They were buried in the Stony Point cemetary. Not wanting to leave their dead behind, the remaining family stayed in the old log cabin about 1 mile west of the graves.
