12 September 1826, Urbeis: Marriage of Jacob Schlapach, born 15 December 1803 at Housseras, Vosges, cotton weaver, resident at Sainte-Croix-aux-Mines, Haut-Rhin, son of the late David Schlapach, resident when living at Umkirch, Duchy of Baden, who died a Umkirch 7 August 1813, and the late Marguerite Laquipiel, who died at Housseras, Vosges 20 August 1804, and Marie Scher, born 15 October 1799 at Urbeis, resident of Urbeis, daughter of Rodolphe Scher, farmer of Climont, Urbeis, and Maria Eve Iltis of the same place.
Witnesses: Jacob Scher, weaver age 63, cousin of the groom on his mother's side, Francois Joseph Quirin, forester age 48, friend and neighbor of the groom, Jacob Dellebach, farmer age 27, cousin of the bride, and Nicolas Buhl, farmer age 55, uncle of the bride. Three live here and the first lives in Sainte-Croix-aux-Mines.
